Alpha Phi Alpha is a collegiate Greek-letter fraternity, having been founded on December 4, 1906, at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. It is the oldest Greek-letter fraternity established and incorporated by African-American college men. The fraternity is a founding member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council. Alpha Phi Alpha has over 290,000 members with 730 undergraduate and alumni chapters in the United States, and internationally.
